I am Malaïka. After several years in two major companies in France — first in banking, then in human resources — I chose to move back to Senegal.
A return to my roots, a fresh start.

I threw myself into entrepreneurship, carried by that energy of starting over. But economic realities, the fragility of the model I'd chosen, and above all my own lack of self-awareness and understanding of my environment caught up with me quickly. A difficult choice had to be made: going back to being an employee.

Different realities, different processes, far from the Western standards I was used to. But when a choice has to be made, however hard, I don't back down.

Today, I've gained experience. I've managed teams, built things, started several ventures. I've grown, I've learned, and I'm still learning every day.

But what truly drives me today, what gives meaning to this whole journey, is sharing .

Beyond Business by M is the space where I share what 20 years in the field have taught me. It's also my space for reflection, shaped by this journey.
